Queer Filmmaking Workshop

The Queer Filmmaking Workshop provides an opportunity to amplify the voices of the LGBTIQ community by empowering real people to share their stories. Presented with The The University of Melbourne's Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), this workshop will provide the opportunity to learn fundamental filmmaking techniques.

The workshop is designed for budding filmmakers. This will be a very practical and collaborative workshop for a small group of people to write, direct, shoot and edit a two-minute film together.

As a group, participants:
– Write a short script
– Draw storyboards
– Shoot the film
– Edit the film

Workshop coordinator, Kate Lefoe - Film Director is a filmmaker and graduate from the VCA with a Masters of Film and Television (Narrative).
