After being discovered by Poof Doof in back its very early days in 2011, Jive Wilson can now claim the title of being Poof Doof's longest standing resident DJ. This is not without reason. Jive Wilson was quick to set the mood by consistently bringing the house/Doof down by delivering an underground sound that was absent within the gay club scene at the time. A Jive Wilson set entails a heady and gripping mix of crafted House, Techno and Progressive House; a mix that is no less groovy than it is heavy and melodic. If you have ever stayed at Poof Doof WAY past your bedtime, it is highly possible that you were in the grips of a legendary Jive Wilson closing set. Salvador Darling found his calling in delivering big sounds to big crowds. The bigger, the better. A Melbourne boy born and bred, he’s come a long way since first spinning Sylvester’s Do You Wanna Funk, in a converted toilet block at Superdisco. One thing hasn’t changed though, and that’s his adoration for Disco, House, Tech-House & Techno. He is known for his high energy and driving beats; music that will make you move - remember to expect the unexpected. Jive and Salvador met in the Poof Doof DJ booth where they quickly discovered they shared a similar philosophy and love of club music. From this chance meeting, they began playing extended back to back sets together at Poof Doof. The more they played, the more the synergy became apparent. They have since formed a partnership and regularly spend time in the studio producing their own tracks that feature heavily in their sets. POOF DOOF² is an opportunity for these two dance floor legends to take Doofers on a journey through time, space and sound. It is a partnership like no other.
